CBJ Digital's design for the Watford Chamber of Commerce website

Watford Chamber of Commerce has today launched a preview version of its new website www.watfordchamber.com. Designed and built by one of the Chamber's active members, CBJ Digital Limited, the site has been developed to achieve several major objectives. The comprehensive Directory of Members has been updated, enhanced and indexed to encourage communication between Chamber members and to stimulate visitor interest.

Chamber members can now review upcoming seminars, networking and training events and book on-line for themselves and guests utilising a very simple and user-friendly series of input forms. Training and Export services are also well featured in addition to a powerful News presentation and archiving system.

Subscriptions and other payments can be made via the site. Communication with members has also become a lot easier as the intuitive site Content Management System used by the Chamber of Commerce staff incorporates a powerful bulk email system allowing full integration with the website. The site has also been built to be fully compliant with current accepted accessibility (W3C) guidelines.

Chamber Chief executive, Roger Gagan said: "This total rebuild of our website is of enormous significance in allowing us to communicate more effectively with businesses in Watford and the surrounding area. Not only does the site have a clean, contemporary style, it has relevance to the contemporary needs of our members. We are hoping the website will become a really useful tool for all our members and for our own staff in their work for the Chamber.
