News Archive 24th November 2009 :: Colin Howe Announced as New UK200Group President
The announcement was made at the association’s Annual Conference last week (12 and 13 November) and sees the departure of Kevin Dickens. Jonathan Russell of Oxfordshire firm, Rees Russell LLP, will take over Colin’s former role of Vice President.
Colin said: “I'm very honoured to be elected President of the UK200Group. I hope to carry on the good work done by my predecessor, Kevin Dickens, in raising the public profile of the group for the benefit of its members.”
He wants member firms to continue to draw on the shared expertise held by the Group as a whole and use it to help their businesses grow - and to provide a quality service comparable with the Top 20 accountancy firms.
Colin adds: “I look forward to visiting as many member firms as possible during my term of office to make sure they are all aware of the many services and benefits available to them through their membership.
“In these difficult economic times retention of members is as important as recruiting new ones and I would like to see all our member firms participating as fully as possible in the activities of the group.
In this way we can ensure we remain the most active and vibrant
national grouping of professionals in
the UK.”
With vast experience in advising owner managed business on
strategy and planning, Colin hopes to ensure all member firms are
fully aware of the advantages of being part of the UK’s
foremost quality
assured mutual association for independent accountants and
lawyers
