  • Home-Start Watford & Three Rivers Snowflake Ball - Member Event

    November 23, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - November 24, 2018 @ 11:59 pm
Moor Park Golf Club, Moor Park, Rickmansworth WD3 1QN, UK

Home-Start Watford and Three Rivers are pleased to announce on Friday 23rd November they will be hosting their second “Snowflake Ball” in the beautiful Moor Park Mansion in Rickmansworth.
This will be their biggest fundraiser of the year and its success will enable Watford based charity to continue providing much needed local family support. Speaking about why the work they do is so valuable, Scheme Manager Emma Power said “Being a parent, whatever your situation, can be very challenging, especially when children are young. Many parents feel exhausted and overwhelmed by the stresses of family life. For some parents it’sa particular struggle because they are also coping with issues such as post-natal depression, their or their child’s illness or disability, isolation or multiple births. That’s when Home-Start Watford & Three Rivers can help. A carefully selected volunteer, who has parenting experience, can visit regularly and offer emotional and practical support. This friendly parent-to-parent support is a simple yet effective way of enabling families to get back on track.”
The evening, sponsored by Warner Bros Studios, begins at 7pm with welcome drinks and performance by a The London Rock Choir followed by a three course seasonal meal and dancing into the night. An auction is also planned with some exclusive lots up for grabs for the most generous bidders including two ‘sought after’ tickets for dinner at the Harry Potter Great Hall. Emma says “The Snowflake Ball is the perfect venue for your office Christmas party or a night out with family or friends. The evening will be directly supporting local children and families; we believe that every child is as unique and as fragile as a snowflake.” Co-ordinator at Home-Start, Emma Bryan,
    described last year’s event as

“An amazing night full of beautiful people in a stunning setting. It’s a complete contrast to the daily lives and experiences of a lot of families we support but the night allowed us to raise funds to continue to help and support them, especially at this time of year”. Ticket are on sale now via the website www.home-startwatford.org.uk/oursecond-snowflake-ball co.uk  at £65 each or £600 for a table of ten.

Just wanted to say thanks the opportunity to pitch at the event this morning - It was a really enjoyable network session felt very relaxed and informal and met some really inspiring people. Following the session this morning I have made a number of key contacts to help support the Electrify Campaign but also explore future business opportunities for Electric Blue. Thanks again and look forward to next event.
